Madelyn Laughlin, Intern, BSW

Madelyn is a therapist intern who specializes with LGBTQIA+ populations and neurodivergent-affirming care. She has conducted qualitative and quantitative research regarding the significant life events and challenges unique to these populations and strives to continue to expand her knowledge as she develops professionally. Madelyn believes her role is to facilitate progress with clients through an eclectic set of evidence-based treatments. She knows that clients are experts in their own lives, often just needing someone to assist and support them through the difficult processes of growth and change. 

Madelyn has worked in the Patient Navigation department of Linden Oaks in varying roles since January of 2023, she is currently employed as an Patient Navigator with Linden Oaks. Madelyn received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois – Springfield in 2022. Madelyn is in her final year at Aurora University in the Master of Social Work program. In her free time, she spends time crocheting, being with loved ones, and biking/roller skating.
